WORKING WITH SSA

Project Under Construction by Architect Judy Sanz-Solé

Architecture is an idea that has taken form.
These are our steps:

Phase I Schematic Design

Beginning with the Client meeting, in this phase we discuss needs, wants, inspirations, and goals. We also review budget, timeline, and approvals required. By the end of this phase, the building takes form in plans and massing models. Zoning approvals are included in this stage of the work.

Phase II Design Development

With the scope of work established, the design is developed in coordination with the required engineers, consultants, and specialists. Material finishes and product details are explored and collected. As we gather information the building is further defined.

Phase III Permit, Pricing and Construction Documentation

This phase sees our research and development take the form of construction documents. This includes plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules and specifications. These documents will be issued for pricing & building permit.

Phase IV Interiors

Finalizing finishes and details of interior elements is an important component of a complete architectural vision. We provide guidance and assist in the selection of finishes and fixtures, working closely with our clients.

Phase V Construction

During construction, we work with the client and their constructor to ensure the project is built in accordance with the construction documents. Any issues that arise are resolved, keeping the design and the constructors’ concerns in mind. A collaborative process during this phase ensures the design intent is realized.
